Betrayed

In the shadows of the night
He thought that he might
Take a risk all will do
And live a life that is brand new
But in his haste
His loveful taste
Betrayed his eyes
And made up lies
The poor boy wanted one thing
A lover who could bring
And in the lover's lovely song
Nothing happened, nothing wrong
But not tonight or ever again
Or even after or maybe then
His heart was taken
His love, foresaken
And never more
Did he rest asured
