Close Encounter

Brow to brow,
nose to nose -
eyelids flutter,
open and close
over the deep, dark pools
to your very soul.

Breath mingles, warm and sweet
moist tongue between ruby lips
gently - firmly
pushing to unlock my mouth,
and, meeting its twin,
subdues the organ of speech
to enraptured silence,
undulating in tender dance.

Chest to heaving chest,
arms clasping tight
as if to meld our bodies into one.
Knees to knees
toes to toes,
a pulsing organism,
two - yet one,
moving inexorably
toward Nirvana.

Proudly standing,
affirmation of our love
crowned in purple, imperious,
both granite hard and silken soft,
the towering strength of passion -
sweet honeyed threads flowing
to mingle with our salty heat.
Demanding - no -
now begging for release,
too soon the orbs and sceptres
of our kingdom
give forth in glorious spasms,
more precious than any gold,
the seeds of love.
