Recapture the Dream

we meet by a stroke of fate
we both felt more then we could say
these feelings we could not negate
as fast as love prevailed ahead
i soon made that moment dead

that moment is gone forever
like lightning that flashed and died
like a tear drop in a river
like sunset in the sky
i ran away to hide

an arrow with no direction
a forest with no trees
a stand still in animation
like a river with no streams
incomplete forever it seems

until i got my head on straight
the rules of love i did not abide
i'll get that moment back from fate
i wil no longer run and hide
from that love that still burns inside
